It doesn't matter if Hyperflight isn't No. 1 - after their big win over Dunk last week, we're now entering the Hyperflight Era!
1. Uptempo - They're the Lakers - the ultra confident group with two big men who do it all in the paint (Milan, Jacoby) and a whole crew of perimeter players that like to get out and run. And like L.A., they're a complete nightmare when they're sinking their three's.
2. Generation - For the first time since the early weeks, we have a legitimate No. 2 team, a squad that proved they deserve this ranking. They're very tough defensively as we saw last week against Huarache, forcing them to settle for 21 three's (of which they made 6). Plus, it always helps when J.J. McGowan is locked in, hitting 11-19 shots for 25 points.
3. Air Force 1 - AF1 proved last week against a hot Foamposite team that they're not just the Paul Rivera, Eric Raymundo, Brandon Smith show. They were led in scoring by Chris Dowling (14 points) and literally everyone else on their roster got on the board.
4. Huarache - After one of the most impressive performances of the year a couple of weeks ago against AF1, Huarache took a big step back last week, looking pretty shaky against Generation. When they turn the rock over more than 10 times a game, they're in trouble. Last week was another 12-TO game.
5. Shox - Maybe it's unfair to get on Huarache when they don't have LeKeith Taylor and then to give Shox a bit of a free pass because they didn't have Jason Burke, Jamaal Lesane or Justin Leonard. But once Terminator went box-and-one against Will Eberhart, Shox's offense sputtered. If this squad was full strength, they couldn't have made that move without another piece making them pay.
6. Terminator - Give these guys credit. You know exactly what they want to do, but they still went right out there and did it. They put the ball in Brendan Callahan's hands and let him go to work. And when they get second chances, these guys will make you pay. Treasure Kyn Neal hit some back-breaking three's and Tony Chan got a couple of sneaky buckets. When they're full strength with Dan Gladstone, don't count them out.
7. Foamposite - Evan Waterman might have one of the most reliable corner jumpers in the League. Though we joked about how the absence of the corner three in this League actually affects games, it could be true for Foam. I don't think I've seen him miss one from that spot on the floor all year. The only problem was that he didn't shoot enough last week - dude finished with 3 points, only taking two shots inside the three.
8. Delta Force - Delta moves up despite not playing last week. They can thank the non-defeated guys over at Hyperflight.
9. Hyperflight - How does it feel to have one in the win column? Not only did they notch their first win, but there were also some pretty sweet highlights in this one. It's not a streak yet though, they'll have to do it against Dunk yet again.
10. Dunk - The former Top 4 team has fallen off as of late, even though they continue to produce offensively (Will Blunt went for 27 points and 18 boards!!). But games are won on the other side of the floor, and Dunk just needs to strap up on D!
